Nov. 2023 Our paper comparing the performances of Cas12 and Cas14 to detect single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) has been accepted by ACS Sensors

Oct. 2023 Congratulations Tom and Yawen on passing their prelim exams, officially Ph.D. candidates. 

Sep. 2023 Dr. Chen and his graduate student (Tom Kasputis) as duo received the Chemistry's Role in Tackling World Hunger Convergent Chemistry Community Travel Award. They will present their research studies in New Orleans next March. 

Sep. 2023 The Chen Research Lab will be up and running in the Department of Bioengineering at UC Riverside on January 2024. Currently, we are looking for postdoc, graduate, and undergraduate students.
